Heeding The Call - A message from Phil BlackwellStewardship Pledge Campaign

Phil Blackwell"Our congregation’s operating budget is not only a financial document but also a mission statement. It reveals what we think is most important about our ministry in the name of Jesus Christ. Yes, our line item budget shows that we spend money on reams of paper, but we need to see that paper as Sunday bulletins, tutoring program hand-outs, and official minutes. Yes, we can see that we pay a fee for our telephones, but we need to read that as calls to shut-ins, conversations about agendas, and friendly reminders of upcoming events. Yes, there is a line for health insurance, but we need to understand that this is an investment in keeping our staff at our desks, on the streets, and in the pulpit."
