First
United Methodist Church at the Chicago Temple is located in the
heart of "the Loop", or downtown Chicago, at 77 West Washington
Street. It is directly across the street from Daley Plaza and the
iconic Picasso sculpture.
The
church is located within easy reach by elevated, subway and Metra
trains and Chicago Transit Authority buses. Schedules, routes and
fares are available from the CTA.
There
is some free street parking on Sunday mornings, but drivers are
urged to read the signs carefully to avoid tickets or towing. At
172 West Madison Street there is a self-park garage that allows
discounted rates (only on Sundays) with a ticket stamped at the
church.
