Join the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force

Are you concerned, annoyed, frustrated, maybe “fed up” is the right word, with the continuing level of gun violence in our city and our country? Are you wondering what you can do to reduce the tragic consequences of gun violence?

Please consider joining with the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, an initiative of the Justice Ministry at the Chicago Temple. By joining our task force, you will combine forces with others who are taking action to address gun violence. Our task force started some three years ago and has been working to educate on Gun Violence Issues and advocate for changes that will reduce the incidence of gun injuries and deaths. We have staged movies and symposia, and worked with legislators and other gun violence prevention organizations.

Our Task Force typically meets every other month, although more frequent meetings might be needed if we are involved in planning an event. But, meetings are not what we want to spend our time on – we would much rather devote our time to action.

Please consider bringing your talent and ideas to the Gun Violence Prevention Task Force. Your help is critical as we work to build a safer future for all citizens, particularly our children and our grandchildren.
