New Seminary Intern – Rev. Yeongjoong Kim
We are pleased to announce the arrival of our new Seminary Intern, Rev. Yeongjoong Kim. Rev. Kim is a Korean Methodist pastor who is currently on academic leave from his full-time ministry at Jooan Methodist Church in Korea. He is completing his MA in Pastoral Care and Counseling at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and will Graduate this Spring.
Rev. Kim has been in ministry in Korea for 14 years. He served as a Korean Army chaplain from 2008-2011 and then committed to young adult ministry (2011-2015) at Jooan Methodist Church in Incheon, Korea. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and a Master’s degree in psychology of religion from Methodist Theological University in Seoul, Korea, where he overlapped with our very own Rev. Sophia! He is married to Daae (Yoon) and they have two children; Seonjae and Seonyoo. We are so thankful to have him serving with us for the next few months and look forward to how God will use him in our ministry!
